1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimal information necessary to operate the Entertainment System.
1.1 Technical & System Data
We do NOT collect device identifiers or network-level information. Specifically, the system does not collect:
- Device IDs or hardware identifiers
- MAC addresses or IP addresses
- Network connection information
- Any personal device-level information
The system may generate basic system logs (crashes, performance events) to maintain stability; these logs do not contain personal data.
1.2 Usage Data
To provide the service we may collect:
- Channels viewed (FAST channels, live TV)
- Movies or series selected
- Session timestamps (start/stop)
- Feature interactions (search, menus, categories)
- Anonymous aggregated viewing statistics
This information is stored and processed in a way that cannot be used to identify an individual guest or guest device.
1.3 Optional PMS Integration
If enabled by the hotel, the system may receive room-only identifiers (for example, room number) from the Property Management System (PMS) to enable room-specific features such as language preferences or unlocking paid services. No guest names or personal identity information are collected by default.
2. How We Use the Information
- Provide access to FAST channels, live TV, and on-demand content
- Operate and maintain the Entertainment System
- Improve performance, stability, and content selection
- Generate non-personal aggregated statistics for content programming
We do not profile or target individual guests.
4. Data Retention
- Session data: removed when the guest checks out or when the session resets.
- System logs: retained for operational troubleshooting, typically 30–90 days depending on hotel policy.
- Aggregated analytics: may be retained long-term in non-identifiable form to improve programming.
5. Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards including:
- Encrypted communication within the system
- Isolation of the Entertainment System from guest Wi‑Fi networks
- Restricted access for authorized personnel only
- Regular updates and security reviews
No system can be 100% secure; however, we strive to maintain strong protections.
6. Guest Rights
Depending on applicable law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), guests may have rights such as:
- Access to data collected about them
- Correction or deletion (where applicable)
- Restriction of processing
- Information about how data is handled
To exercise rights or ask questions, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details below.
7. Third-Party Streaming Apps
If a guest signs into third-party streaming apps (for example, Netflix or YouTube) on the TV, those credentials and activity are governed by the third party's privacy policies. We do not access or store third-party login credentials; guests are responsible for logging out before checkout.
8. Children's Privacy
The Entertainment System is intended for general audiences in a hotel environment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising content accessed by minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when this document was last revised. Continued use of the Entertainment System after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
